Brown Beach Bella

I am still using my DP. I have a stack over a foot high! Can you believe that? I just keep collecting it. So I used two designs with Tempting Turquoise. I also used paper piecing for the towel and bag. I love my Copic markers so much that I don't color with anything else now. I just need some more colors, which is hard to do because they are so expensive. But oh so worth it!

Purple Bella

Here is another card I made trying to use up some of my DP I haven't used it a while. Purple isn't normally a color I reach for so I decided to pair it up with on of my favorite Bella stamps. I used a few different patterns of DP too. Hmm... not sure if it is a favorite but I have 4 of them to use now. My favorite part of this is the love charm I added to go along with the stamp "all things grow with love."

*MWAH*

This is one of my favorite Bella stamps. She is just too cute! I used Old Olive for the base and then pulled out some more of the DP. I also used my green brads and ribbon. Trace gave me a few rolls of this ribbon and it matches Old Olive perfectly! And you can't really see it but I used my edge punch to scallop the edge of the DP on the right. I hope you like it!

Is it winter yet?

I pulled out this Bella that hasn't seen ink yet. I have seen her and bought her at the end of last winter. I finally made a card with it. I used words from Cold Play to go along with her. I colored the image with my beloved Kohinoor pencils. I also added Stickles on the "fuzzy" parts of the coat and boots. It looks much better IRL.

for Trace

I was talking to Trace on the phone tonight and I told her I wanted to make her baby shower announcements. I was playing around with my stuff and came up with this Bella card. I wasn't really thrilled with the way it turned out. I just wasn't "right," if you know what I mean.

So, I got on SCS to see if I could find something that caught my eye and THIS is what I found. Mandypandy had made this cute little set of cards and I knew that was it. Trace's nursery is nautical so I whipped one up. I used my snap stamps to do the words and I punched them out with a word window. The boat is made with circles and squares cut in half. I used the line from my Papertrey Ink word set and stamped it in Chocolate Chip. Then I added lines with the white gel pen and some red brads/ribbon. I also stamped some waves on the Soft Sky water. I love it and I know she will too!

Ice Cream & Another Mojo45

Here are some cards I made last night. I have been seeing some really cute cards on SCS using the ice cream from MFT Here's the Scoop. As you can see from the first pictures, I added lots of glitter and a little bling to make this ice cream look like you could eat it!

For the background I used paper from my new pack (made by My Mind's Eye). The green glass reminds me of the little dessert cups my mom always put dessert in when I was a kid. It is a little green for this color scheme but I had to leave it! Anyway, I used True Thyme for the base and layering.

I also gave the Mojo45 Challenge another try too. I didn't all the scallops at the bottom but I used the same general lay out. I colored Bella's body, hair, and bag. Then I did paper piecing for her bikini and towel. I like the way it tied the image in with the DP I used. I don't normally use these peachy pink colors a lot.

Mojo45 Challenge

I made this one for the Mojo Challenge on Poetric Artistry. I love her challenges and this week she is giving away a stamp set! I love the Verve stamps so I had to enter.
I used kraft for the base. I also used pretty in pink, chocolate chip paper, and Basic Grey DP. Since I didn't have the punch to make the scalloped edge at the bottom I cut out choc chip using the lace border die I bought when I first got my CB. I also added a little bling next to "mwah." I don't think the picture does this one justice!

Look What Came In the Mail!!!

I ordered this monogram stamp from Stamp Castle. I was so excited about it getting here and it got here today. So I pulled it out and I had to make some cards with my own monogram on it first.

I used my cuttlebug to do the background on this one. I picked my favorite one since I will be using these. I used my circle punch to punch out the monogram but then I didn't have the next size bigger. So I used the circle cutter with the blade and cut out a little big bigger circle that would fit in the scallop circle. I think the pink circle should have been a little smaller but that circle thing is a pain to use. I am happy with the end result.

I also made a new bella card. I have had some new bella stamps for some time now and they haven't even touched ink, gasp! So I went to Staples and bought a binder and some baseball card sheet protectors. I organized all my bella stamps so I can see them now so I had to use this one. I also used my new Koh-i-noor colored pencils to color this one. I wish I had more of a selection of colors like my Prismacolors, however, I love the way they blend. I think this might be one of my best coloring jobs!

Retro Bella & Glitterfly

Can you believe I stamped again today? My husband has been working on his models and I have been going in there with him and stamping. We listen to music, laugh, and cut up the whole time. It really is a lot of fun. I am always asking him about color combos and placement of things on the cards. And he is always wanting me to look at what he is doing or asking what I think about something he painted. It is our quality time together.

So this is my retro Bella. I saw this paper and I knew this Bella would be perfect for it! I used a little of that great glitter pen for the drink, although you can't see it in the picture. BTW, Chris found another use for that glitter pen, he uses it to color the bolts on his models so they pop! How funny is that!

I broke into my Basic Grey paper and made a few cards too. I just love this butterfly so I glittered it up with the glitter pen and I also added some of the Marth Stewart glitter I picked up when it first came out. I even took a close up of the butterfly so you can see how glittery it really is. I might have overdone it with the glitter. What do you think?

I'm back... did you miss me?

I know I have been a slacker and some of you are asking about posts on the blog! Well, here you go! Can you believe I made something again? lol I have been really busy with everything here at the end of the school year. I have not had much time to come home to relax and stamp. So here is what I made this last weekend.
This first card is one I made for my dad's birthday. I feel like it was missing something but I didn't want to "girly" it up too much! So I sent it to him and I hope he likes it! Happy Birthday Daddy!
This second card I made I was tickled with! It is girly and has some of my favorite colors! I used my favorite Bella right now! Everytime I go to make a card I find myself picking up this stamp. I have also found that I have been loving this self adhesive pattern paper. My friend Trace got me several packs of this great paper and I use it all the time! I have been trying to use designer paper more and I have fallen in love with it!

PMS Bella

I finally inked up my PMS Bella. I love this stamp! The paper is some my friend gave me, along with the green twill. It was a perfect match so I had to go with it. I also used Taken with Teal and Old Olive SU paper. I colored Bella with my prismacolor pencils. I really love the way this one came together!!!

Bella & Baby Boy

We needed a cute baby boy card so I whipped out my Nurse Bella with a cute little baby. I also used the paper that Chelase gave me. It had several patterns on it and I cut this one so it was all alone. I also used my prismacolor pencils to color the Bella. I did go back and add a little glitter on the fold of the blanket. I love the glitter pens and they are so easy to use! Just color over something to add some sparkle! BTW, the glitter pens I'm always talking about are the Gelly Roll glitter pens. I also have the metallic glitter pens in different colors.

Thank you Chelsea!

WOW! Look at all this beautiful paper. I have a wonderful student named Chelsea (she looks at my blog and has even posted a sweet comment). The other day she was looking at my blog and I was showing her some of the designer paper I love using.

She told me she got a big pack of paper at Costco and she brought it to school today and wanted me to pick out some that I wanted. She told me that she had plenty and wanted me to get a sheet of each one I like. I was so tickled!

Thank you so much Chelsea! That was so very sweet of you.

I made a card to give to her tomorrow and I hope she really likes it! I'm going to write on a post it note so she can use it again! Of course it is a Bella card. I used the flower paper and it looks so good with the brown ribbon I picked up at Michael's. Chelsea, thank you again so much for the paper! I will get a lot of use out of it and you were very sweet to think of me! I have enjoyed having you in class and I will miss you next year!

Bella in her Martha Stewart Stuff

Last week I went to Michael's to check out the new Martha Stewart stuff. I love a lot of it and those huge jars of glitter are to die for! I bought several things and used them on this card. The blue paper is MS paper and it is not cardstock. It is a textured paper that adds a lovely element to the card. It is also great to stamp on. I'm not sure if you can see in this picture but I did stamp the little waves on it. The twill tape and glitter (on Bella's bathing suit) are also MS supplies. The glitter is so fine and it looks great on a card! I loved it so much that the next day and I went back to M's and bought some more stuff! I'm planning to go back tomorrow to see if there is anything else I can't live without! lol I ended up with a duplicate cuttlebug alphabet set so I'm taking it back and I'm going to get some more things for cards.

Another Bella in her Pjs

I used my Bella in her pjs again this weekend. I'm not sure if I like the way this one turned out. This great patterned paper was in the new K&Co. section at Michael's. It was in a little pack of paper to mat photos with. I knew it would be the perfect size to use on a card. I had a hard time pulling the correct colors but I gave it my best shot. I also used my new tab punch and the clear stamps I got from the dollar section at Michael's. So what do you think?

Nurse/Baby Bella And PJ Bella

I made some new Bella cards. I used the great sticker paper that I got for my birthday from Trace. Since the colors were a little different on the two pieces I cut I colored the nurses' outfits different colors. I can't decide which one I like better but I have to decide because I'm giving one away tomorrow!

I also made a new card with PJ Bella. Again, I used that wonderful sticker paper from Trace. I used certainly celery as the card base and I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and gamasol. I just love the pj bella! She makes me want to go jump in my pjs now and snuggle up with a blanket in my oversized chair! I can't wait to get in there and make some more Bella cards but it is getting late tonight and I'm not sure if I'm up to more stamping. I'll post some more as soon as I get them made! TFL!

More New Bellas and Ribbon

Here are the new Bellas I got today! I'm so excited about them and I already inked some of them up! I also picked up this new ribbon at Michael's the other day. More of the colors I love in ribbon!

Bella Friends

I finally made a card using the bella friends. I sat and looked at it for a while. I finally came up with this card. I pulled out this polka dot paper I had bought a while back and paired it up with burgundy, banana, and blue. My husband even helped me come up with the right colors to use with this polka dot paper. I'm excited that I finally came up with this one on my own, I didn't CASE anyone. I even used those little flower clips I bought several months ago when Hobby Lobby had them on sale. I think this is a great friend card. I can't wait to give them all away!

Bellas in Pink

I went to Michael's today and found some cute pink paisley paper. I also bought several rolls of the ribbon they have on sale this week. I thought this ribbon went great with the paper I picked up.

I also made these cute baby shower invitations for my friend Cher. We are giving her a shower and I just had to use this Bella. I also love my 1+1=3 stamp with this Bella. It was just the right thing to go on the card. I pulled out my prima flowers that I don't use that often. I have been trying to start using a lot of some of the stuff I have and don't use. I'm never sure how to use them but I liked the look of this flower on the corner. I also added a clear rhinestone to the center. I colored in the bow on the bear and Bella's top along with the bag with my clear glitter pen. I just love to add a little sparkle to my cards.

Walkabella

I finally sat down tonight and made a few cards. I always make 4 to 6 cards when I make one. That way I have plenty on hand when I need one. I have fallen in love with these Bella stamps! I also love this new paper Trace got for me. I decided to use this paper along with my new Walkabella. I just love this little puppy- I tried to make him look like my dog. If it was really going to look like Bandit they would need to add about 5 lbs. to him! You can't tell in the picture but I used my glitter pen on the flowers on Bella's dress and the little dog's bow. I'm not sure I'm crazy about the way this one turned out, but I have 4 to send out!
