Monkey Tag

I just made these luggage tags for my suitcase and backpack. I used my favorite monkey stamps. I am leaving for the Mayo Clinic tomorrow and I needed some tags for my suitcase. I knew these would be cute and I have better things to do than pack! lol

I won't be posting until I get back. They said to plan for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. I'll post when I get back!

VSN-- Anne's Inspiration

This card was inspired by my favorite poem by e.e.cummings. I used Hunter Green since the poem is about a hunter. And he is in green so that works well! I used one of my new Cuttlebug embossing folders and the little stones my secret sister sent me. They went perfectly inside the center of the flowers.
all in green
All in green went my love riding
on a great horse of gold
into the silver dawn.
Four lean hounds crouched low and smiling
the merry deer ran before.
Fleeter be they than dappled dreams
the swift red deer
the red rare deer.
Four red roebuck at a white water
the cruel bugle sang before.
Horn at hip went my love riding
riding the echo down
into the silver dawn.
Four lean hounds crouched low and smiling
the level meadows ran before.
Softer be they than slippered sleep
the lean lithe deer
the fleet flown deer.
Four fleet does at a gold valley
the famished arrow sang before.
Bow at belt went my love riding
riding the mountain down
into the silver dawn.
Four lean hounds crouched low and smiling
the sheer peaks ran before.
Paler be they than daunting death
the sleek slim deer
the tall tense deer.
Four tall stags at the green mountain
the lucky hunter sang before.
All in green went my love riding
on a great horse of gold
into the silver dawn.
Four lean hounds crouched low and smiling
my heart fell dead before.

Mini VSN- Scarlet Letter

I did this card for the Scarlet Letter challenge for the Mini VSN. The challenge was to create a card with a red letter. I used my chipboard and covered it with ruby red paper. I also used a sponge and dabbed the paper. I had to use the monkeys because this is a new stamp and it went perfect with the word "love." I also cut the scalloped punches in half. I used my white gel pen on the navy.

Monkeys inspired by SCS

I saw this card on SCS by stephanie.hargis and I just had to make one like it. It was too cute and used the monkeys I love right now. I changed it up a little but I kept most of it the same. It was too cute to change too much. The paper I used was really rust, not quite navy, so saffron, and white. I used the navy ribbon as well. Thanks for the inspiration Stephanie!

Twins on the way!

I wanted to go ahead and make this card for my brother and his wife. They are expecting twins any day now. I bought this stamp when we found out they were having twins and I haven't used it much. I got my new CB paisley embossing folder today and thought this would be perfect for this card. I wanted to add some glitter somewhere but I just wasn't sure where, so I didn't glitter. I used 2 pink bling brads in the corners and stamped "all things grow with love." When the girls get here I plan to put this in the mail. I'm so excited for them to arrive, but we don't want it to be too early.

Changito Tire Swing

OK, I think this is my favorite Changito stamp right now. My SU order of paper came in and I finally have Chocolate Chip to work with again. I also ordered Temping Turquoise so I used that! I also used the CB embossing folder to do the squares on the turquoise background. I only made 4 of these and I think I should have done more. I can't wait to send these out!

Sketch Challenge on SCS

This one didn't turn out exactly like I pictured it. I used my CB embossing folder to do the dots on the green. I just love these monkeys so I used this new one. I found the "silly monkey" stamp in a free set I picked up somewhere and it was perfect for this little guy.

Changito Pool Guy

Here is another new stamp! I just love this little monkey and I have several changito monkey stamps. I have also ordered the words that go along with this one but it is not here yet. I pulled out some old DP that had a beach towel feel- bright and colorful. I hope he made you smile!

Elzybell & Baby Bella

School is out and I have the summer to stamp! Yeah! I am just getting over a cold and I thought I would stamp today. I just love these Elzybell stamps by A Muse. I got a few new ones in the mail last week and decided to make something with this one. I wanted to use some flower brads in place of the flower on the stamp. The only ones I had were purple so that helped me pick out my colors. I always feel like the base of the card is a little lacking.

The other card I made was a baby card. My husband's friend and his wife are having a baby girl so I thought this would be perfect. I used my Bella baby stamp and some great paper my secret sister sent me a few rounds back. I just love this paper and I'm almost out. I hope they like the card and gift we are sending them.
I'm off to make something else if the creativity continues!

Thriller

I just had to post this. At our school the 5th graders do a talent show for the end of the school year. Every year the 5th grade teachers have also done a dance at the end. Last year our school split and we we from 9 5th grade teachers to 5. So we asked everyone who wanted to dance with us to do it this year. We did Thriller and the kids loved it. I learned the dance and then taught it to everyone else. We had a great time! Here is a picture of me and my husband, he came up to the school and did everyone's makeup. The bottom is a group shot. We look too scary!

Owls and Parent Gifts

The stamps I ordered with my birthday money came in. I just love these little owls! I just made and colored one of these to see how it would turn out.

I went to Trace's house yesterday and we worked on our gifts to give to parents who had volunteered a lot this year. We made these cute little clipboards with chipboard coasters and binder clips. This is one of eight that I made. I bagged them up in clear bags along with little notebooks that I covered with matching paper.
