Elzybell Hello!

I saw this cute little window card on Chin n' Scratch and I knew it would be perfect for my Elzybells! I used flower girl and stamped her inside the card. My new micron pens came in handy for doing the doodles around the square. I also used "a little note" at the bottom, but I didn't realize when I took the picture the stand covered that part.

Here is a picture of it on the inside. I used my Koh-i-noor pencils to color the image. I must say, I love those pencils. They blend so easy!!!

Ok, I went back and made another card so I wanted to add it to this post. I thought this would be a cute set of cards for someone. I hope you like them!

My Card for MTVD02

I saw this challenge for MTVD02 over on SCS. It is an inspiration challenge, so I took the colors and went from there. I had the SU DP that I wanted to use and I also added some glitter to Fluttering By. Those eyelets have been in my stash for a while and they went perfect with my colors so I used them. Now that I have my Crop-a-dile I find I use eyelets a lot more than I did before.

for Trace

I was talking to Trace on the phone tonight and I told her I wanted to make her baby shower announcements. I was playing around with my stuff and came up with this Bella card. I wasn't really thrilled with the way it turned out. I just wasn't "right," if you know what I mean.

So, I got on SCS to see if I could find something that caught my eye and THIS is what I found. Mandypandy had made this cute little set of cards and I knew that was it. Trace's nursery is nautical so I whipped one up. I used my snap stamps to do the words and I punched them out with a word window. The boat is made with circles and squares cut in half. I used the line from my Papertrey Ink word set and stamped it in Chocolate Chip. Then I added lines with the white gel pen and some red brads/ribbon. I also stamped some waves on the Soft Sky water. I love it and I know she will too!

MFT- Get Well

I made this card using my MFT stamp set Rain or Shine. I just love that set because of this little dog. I used paper piecing on the raincoat. I used celery to layer behind the DP I used (blue & dots). I added a little blue halo around the image. Maybe I should have done another color since everything is already so blue. Oh well!

Not Stamping Related...

I went to Rite Aid to pick up my medicine and I saw these notebooks! I love Happy Bunny and this notebook is so appropriate!!!

1st Meet the Verve Diva's Challenge

I made this card for the Meet the Verve Diva's Challenge over at SCS. They gave the colors and left the rest wide open. I used my VV Petals & Stems to make this one. I also pulled out some of my chipboard (corners) and covered it with choc chip paper and then stamped some dots on it. This green twill that Trace gave me matches perfectly!

One of a Kind

I just got this new SU set, One of a Kind. I made this card with it. I used Purely Pomegranate and Pretty in Pink. I stamped the small image and put it in the middle with a build a brad. I have had them for a while and haven't used them, but I love them now! I can make a brad to match anything! I also punched out the flowers and put a little bling in the center.

Lightening Struck

We had a terrible storm here yesterday and lightening struck a tree in the back yard. You can see where the tree is split and a big part of it is leaning over on some other trees. That can't be safe! There are trees down everywhere! The top of a tree broke and fell on my husband's truck. Thankfully it wasn't damaged! I love thunderstorms and I like to stand at the door and watch. Chris always fusses at me for standing at the window/door when the storm is going on because he doesn't want me to get hurt. I wish I could say the same for Bandit, my dog. He is terrified now just when it rains hard. So he had a rough day yesterday! Here is a picture of him today taking it easy, thankful there is no rain or thunder.

Gina K Challenge GinaKSC123

Gina K posted a challenge on her blog and I had to give it a try! I pulled out this stamp because I haven't used it in a while. I pulled out some of my DP from My Mind's Eye that goes with the Real Red paper I used. I cut the ovals with my new nesties, which I love. I colored my image with Koh-i-noor pencils. I love these pencils because they blend so much easier than my Prismacolors. It makes it much easier for me to color the images and make them look the way I want!

Have Another Ice Cream

I made another MFT ice cream card last night. I used some more of My Mind's Eye DP from the pack I got the other day. I also used Pretty in Pink as my base color. I was so excited that all my nesties came in yesterday! I ordered the ovals, scallop ovals, circles, and scallop circles.
So I have to give them a try. Using my Cuttlebug, I cut the oval and the scallop oval for the main image. I also added pinkish, purplish glitter on the top and a pink rhinestone cherry.

Ice Cream & Another Mojo45

Here are some cards I made last night. I have been seeing some really cute cards on SCS using the ice cream from MFT Here's the Scoop. As you can see from the first pictures, I added lots of glitter and a little bling to make this ice cream look like you could eat it!

For the background I used paper from my new pack (made by My Mind's Eye). The green glass reminds me of the little dessert cups my mom always put dessert in when I was a kid. It is a little green for this color scheme but I had to leave it! Anyway, I used True Thyme for the base and layering.

I also gave the Mojo45 Challenge another try too. I didn't all the scallops at the bottom but I used the same general lay out. I colored Bella's body, hair, and bag. Then I did paper piecing for her bikini and towel. I like the way it tied the image in with the DP I used. I don't normally use these peachy pink colors a lot.

Monogram Pouch

I made this little project late last night and I really hope the person I made it for loves it! A while back I made a little pouch like this with small scrapbook page protectors. So I pulled them out again and made another one. I just cut the designer paper to go inside and a solid piece of CS to go on the back and wrap around the top. There is also a small piece of velcro under the flap to hold it down. I didn't put a ribbon handle on this one but I have in the past. I thought this looked fine without one.

These are the cards I made to go inside. I used paper from My Minds Eye and SU regal rose CS. And this is the final project all put together!

Color Challenge CC174

I went to Trace's house today to stamp. We ended up going to Hobby Lobby and getting a few things. I bought another package of My Mind's Eye designer paper (like I needed more). When I got it home I found the perfect paper to go with the color challenge today.
So, I made this one for the color challenge on SCS. The colors to use were Groovy Guava, Choc Chip, and Barely Banana. I don't think the picture does this one justice, but the paper really does match IRL. I also added some glitter to the butterfly. You can't tell, but I cut out a butterfly and folded the wings up a little so it is actually 3D.

Taking the Plunge

I made this card for my dad. For those of you who don't know, I have been to the Mayo twice this summer. I have been having digestive problems for years and years. I went to the Mayo in Florida twice this summer and I have been through lots of tests. The doc called me last week and told me I have Crohn's. It wasn't a surprise but it wasn't exactly the news I wanted. So, I think Gina K made this set especially for me! Not only does it fit my "problem" it fits my twisted sense of humor. I had to make this card for my dad because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have been able to go to the Mayo. I hope he likes his potty card!

Mojo45 Challenge

I made this one for the Mojo Challenge on Poetric Artistry. I love her challenges and this week she is giving away a stamp set! I love the Verve stamps so I had to enter.
I used kraft for the base. I also used pretty in pink, chocolate chip paper, and Basic Grey DP. Since I didn't have the punch to make the scalloped edge at the bottom I cut out choc chip using the lace border die I bought when I first got my CB. I also added a little bling next to "mwah." I don't think the picture does this one justice!

Gina K & A Card for my Niece

My new Gina K stamp set came in this weekend and I couldn't wait to make a card. As some of you know, I have Crohn's disease, which causes me to spend a lot more time than I'd like in the bathroom. I know, that might be TMI, but I thought this set was perfect for me and my twisted sense of humor. So I finally ordered it! When it came in I thought this would also make a perfect card for my niece, who is potty training. I'll be sending this one to her when she goes in the potty like a big girl. I added 2 eyelets around the bottom of the potty and some cute little clips I had and never used.

I also ordered some Nestabilities this weekend and I can't wait for them to come in. I have seen so many projects using them and have been thinking about getting some for a while.

My New MFT Set

Here is the first card I made with my new MFT stamps Call Me. I used paper piecing for the chair and wallpaper. I wonder what I was thinking to cut all that out! I like the way it turned out so I guess it was worth all the cutting! I used the CB embossing folder to do the dots on the background and I cut out the tag with my CB. Since I didn't really have any ribbon that matched this I used paper to make faux ribbon.

My First CD Tin

I went to my LSS today looking for something to make for a swap I'm doing. It is a neat swap because you make something for just one person. So I found these cute little CD tins. I have seen them on SCS but I have not made any myself. So I bought 2 to play with.

This is what I came up with. I covered it with DP in chocolate chip. I put a strip of cc cardstock and then I covered a chipboard letter with more DP. I really hope the girl I'm sending it to likes it. I wanted to send something a little more than just a card that is required. Like I said, this is the first one I made and I really like it. It is a cute little tin and now it is personalized.

Rain or Shine

Here is another card using my other MFT stamp set. This one is called Rain or Shine. I loved it because of the cute little dog. I have the perfect person in mind for this card. I have been thinking about what I wanted to do on this one so it turned out just like I wanted it to. I used Choc Chip and Ruby Red Stampin' Up cardstock to go along with this DP I picked up at my LSS. I wanted to put some ribbon on it but I'm out of Choc Chip ribbon. I'm so sad because it isn't in the SU catalog any more so I'm not sure where I'm going to find some. I used my Kooh-i-noor pencils to color this image and I love how they help me become a better colorer (is that a word? lol). I used the Gina K tutorial and I'm doing much better. I hope the person who gets this one enjoys it!

I'm Back!

I'm back from the Mayo Clinic and I'm still waiting for a diagnosis. They have found a lot of things wrong with me but they just aren't sure what to call it yet. I should hear from the doctor within the next day or so.

I missed my stamping while I was gone. So I have made a few cards since I've been back. Here are a few of them. This first one I made for my sister-in-law. She fell and twisted her ankle. She has newborn twins and a 2 year old at home. Now she has an ankle boot to go with it. I pulled down Sassy Stems because I haven't used it in a while. I really love this set!

I also pulled out my MFT stamp sets. I didn't have the right kind of ink so I went to Hobby Lobby and got some that works wonderful with these sets. I made this card for one of my best friend's birthday. She turns 30 this weekend! So I wanted to use this set to make a card for her. I used my new Kooh-i-noor pencils to color both of these. I love these pencils so much and they don't cost as much as my Prismacolors did. I hope Trace likes this card! Maybe she won't see this post before I can give it to her.

for Mom & MIL

I made this set of cards for my mom. I stamped the envelope to match the cards. Since I used the circle boarder around the monograms I used the circle cuttlebug folder.

I made this second set for my mother in law. I took them over to her house tonight because my husband was over there. She loved them!

I won't be posting again until the end of the week, at least. I'm headed back to the Mayo Clinic for additional tests. I'm not super excited about going but I'm going anyway.

Look What Came In the Mail!!!

I ordered this monogram stamp from Stamp Castle. I was so excited about it getting here and it got here today. So I pulled it out and I had to make some cards with my own monogram on it first.

I used my cuttlebug to do the background on this one. I picked my favorite one since I will be using these. I used my circle punch to punch out the monogram but then I didn't have the next size bigger. So I used the circle cutter with the blade and cut out a little big bigger circle that would fit in the scallop circle. I think the pink circle should have been a little smaller but that circle thing is a pain to use. I am happy with the end result.

I also made a new bella card. I have had some new bella stamps for some time now and they haven't even touched ink, gasp! So I went to Staples and bought a binder and some baseball card sheet protectors. I organized all my bella stamps so I can see them now so I had to use this one. I also used my new Koh-i-noor colored pencils to color this one. I wish I had more of a selection of colors like my Prismacolors, however, I love the way they blend. I think this might be one of my best coloring jobs!

Keychain Post It Notes

I made another post it note holder from Stampin' Academy. These are too cute and I love the way it turned out. I don't think I scored it just right because the edge on the back doesn't quite cover the paper. I didn't have the little scallop punch like in the tutorial so I used another punch and did the front a little different. I also used the cuttlebug to cut out the little flower for the front.

Been Busy Stamping!

I've been a stamping fool today! lol As you can see from my previous post I found a great web site to show you how to make all those cute little projects other than cards. So I had to make some of them. The first picture is a post it note holder. I love it because it is sturdy and wraps around the post it notes. I didn't have any chipboard coasters so I got an empty cereal box and made my own. The great thing about it is you can't tell it isn't straight because it is covered with DP.

The other thing I made today was a card for the color challenge on SCS and the Mojo Challenge. I used kraft, black, white, and soft sky. I used the Baroque Motif stamp set. I really love that SU set! I stamped the flower in soft sky and them rolled the edges in Buckaroo Blue. I'm happy with this one, and it is a good thing I am because I made 6 of them.

Stampin' Academy Box

I don't know if you all know about this site but it is wonderful! It is called Stampin' Academy. She does step by step videos on how to make things, which is great for me! I can normally follow directions pretty well but it really helps to see it done before I try it myself. When I just have directions sometimes I mess up a few good pieces of paper before I get it right. I just love this box! Now I have to do is make some cards to match it to go inside.

Glitter

I made a few of these cards last night. I picked up the Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder at Hobby Lobby yesterday so I had to try it out. I used regal rose, certainly celery, black, and white. I tried to stamp the butterfly in Versamark and I mixed pink glitter with my embossing powder. It didn't stick as well as I would have liked but it is still pretty. Chris had a fit because he said I had the glitter out again! :) He is sure it will end up on his model desk or recording board and ruin something.
I have to share a funny story about glitter. I use a lot of lotion and body spray that have glitter in them. So after I get ready I normally put them on in the bedroom. Well, a few months ago he went to get his gun bag out and there was glitter all over it. He also found some camo that he wears for hunting that has glitter on it. He said the glitter would scare the deer away and no manly man wants to show up at the range with glitter on his gun bag. So I have been told to use the glitter stuff in the bathroom. Chris told me to use all my glitter spray, lotion, hairspray, and toothpaste in the bathroom. Obviously I don't have glitter hairspray or toothpaste- but he said he was going to add that in there because he was sure if they invented it I would buy it!

Verve Visual Butterflies

I made this card today using my new Verve Visual stamp set, Fluttering By. I had to go to Hobby Lobby and get some black embossing powder for this one. I couldn't believe I didn't have any- I had all these colors but no black. That did give me an excuse to go to Hobby Lobby though- and I picked up some new colored pencils that they have been talking about on Gina K's site.

So, I embossed the butterflies and colored them in with Pearl Ex. I embossed the rust background with my cuttlebug embossing folder. I used the monarch butterfly colors so now I might go back and do one using different colors.

RAK from eliotstamps

I got another beautiful RAK in the mail today from eliotstamps. I just love the colors. This stamp is from one of my favorite stamp sets. I also love the pearl in the center of the flower. What a nice touch. Thank you for your words of kindness!

4th of July Card

Here is what I have come up with for my July 4th cards. I ordered these stamps especially for these cards. I played around with the layout and came up with something I like. I have embossed all the backgrounds, tied all the ribbon, put in all the brads, and put everything together except the main image. Since I color them with Prismacolors and then go back over them with Gamasol I can only do a few at a time before I get a crick in my neck. I shouldn't have a problem getting them all done in time to mail them for the 4th.

My first Verve Visual order

My order from Verve Visual came in today. This is the first time I have ordered from them but I really liked their stamp designs. I ordered Petals & Stems and Fluttering By. I like the way they stick to the acrylic block and then I can just peel them off and put them back. The image is real crisp too. I used Petals & Stems to make this card. I used the DP I picked up at the scrapbook store today. It is My Mind's Eye- My Sunshine Blooming Lovely. I tried to pull all the colors from the DP to use on the card. I used Choc Chip, So Saffron, Soft Sky, and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the butterfly once on the paper and then I stamped another one and layered it on top. I also used my glitter pen to add some glitter to the wings. I really like the way this one turned out. I wonder if I used too many of the colors though.

RAK from Naturecoastcrafter

I got a beautiful RAK from Jean today. My friend Trace told her I was having some medical problems and she send me a card. It is just beautiful and full of sunshine! Thank you Jean!

Happy Father's Day

I made these cards for all the dads in my life. I went to the scrapbook store and found this paper that said dad and father. I also got the striped paper to match it. Of course, I had to use these cute little monkey stamps! I hope they all like it!

Owl CASE

I made another owl card tonight. I was looking around on SCS and found this card by jessjean. When I saw it I knew I had to make one like it. It isn't exactly the same because I didn't have the gray paper or the Copic markers. I used Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke, Black, and Whisper White. I colored the owls with my Prismacolor pencils and blended it with gamasol. I used gray and black chalk to color the background and I used hairspray to set the chalk. I love the way the owl's eyes pop! It looks much better IRL.

Welcome to the family...

The twins are here! Kevin and Laura had two girls June 8th- Leigha Claire and Kara Elise. I wanted to make something for them that included the whole family. So I made one of the picture frames with the All in the Family stamp set. I hope they like it!

In the close up you can see all the members of the family. Here they are from L to R: Rhett, Kayla, Laura, Kevin, Leigha, and Kara. I really wanted to add some ribbon or something but I couldn't figure out where to put it. I can't wait to give it to them.
